Archiving, cloning & deleting
Tidy up finished trips, reuse a plan for next year, or delete an adventure.
All three options are on the adventure settings page (the pencil icon on the overview), and only the organiser can use them.
Archiving
Archiving tucks a finished trip away without losing anything.
- Click Archive Adventure. It moves to the Archived list on the dashboard for everyone on the trip, not just you.
- Everything stays viewable — costs, photos, the discussion — so it's still there when someone asks "who owed whom?"
- Click Unarchive Adventure to bring it back.
You don't have to archive trips yourself: an adventure moves to Archived automatically once its end date is more than 30 days in the past.
Cloning
Running the same trip again next year? Cloning copies the plan into a brand new adventure, with you as organiser.
Click Clone Adventure. The copy is called "Name (Copy)" and opens straight away.
| Copied | Not copied |
|---|---|
| Itinerary days, cards and ideas | Attendees and emergency contacts |
| Meals, ingredients and shopping list | Discussion messages and attachments |
| Vehicles (without drivers or passengers) | Who's bringing what, who's cooking, who's driving |
| Group gear and gear categories (unassigned) | Personal packing lists |
| Tasks (unassigned, reset to Not started) | Expenses |
| Map routes, markers and useful links | Trip brief and RSVP deadline |
| Sections on/off, currency, who can join | Public view (the copy starts private) |
Update the dates, name and trip brief, then share the new link.
Deleting
Under Danger Zone, click Delete Adventure and confirm.
