Adventure settings & sections
Edit trip details, set an RSVP deadline and trip brief, and turn sections on or off.
Only the organiser can change an adventure's settings. Open them from the adventure overview by clicking the pencil icon in the cover image.
Adventure details
You can change everything you entered when you created the adventure, plus a few extras:
- Cover image — upload a new one or remove it. This saves immediately.
- Name, activity type, location and description.
- Start and end dates. The end date can't be before the start date.
- RSVP deadline — the date you need answers by. Attendees see "RSVP by …", and once it's passed the attendee list shows that the deadline has passed. RSVP reminder emails include it too.
- Currency — used for every expense in Costs.
- Trip Brief — the essential information everyone should read: meeting point, timings, what to expect, what to bring. It shows as a card on the overview and is the first thing in the trip pack. Up to 10,000 characters.
Click Save Changes when you're done.
Turning sections on and off
Not every trip needs every tool. Under Section Visibility you can switch each of these on or off:
- Itinerary
- Meals
- Transport
- Gear
- Tasks
- Costs
- Map
The Overview and the discussion are always on.
Changes save as soon as you flip the switch. When a section is off:
- its tab disappears for everyone, including people viewing a public adventure;
- anyone who follows an old link to it is taken back to the overview;
- it's left out of the trip pack.
Access settings
Who can view the adventure and who can join it are set on the overview itself, in the Public view and Who can join? card that only you can see. See:
Further down the settings page
- Clone Adventure — make a copy for another trip.
- Archive — tuck a finished trip away.
- Danger Zone → Delete — permanently delete the adventure.
All three are covered in Archiving, cloning & deleting.
